Getting Started with Trading Accounts

Below are the documents needed to efficiently complete your transaction. Any delays or incomplete documentation can result in the delay of your closing. Exceptions to these requirements must be approved in writing by Entrust.

Documents Required to Invest in a Trading Account

Before getting started, download the Trading Account Packet. This packet contains a checklist along with all the Entrust forms required to get started.

1. Entrust Buy Direction Letter

  • Your Name
  • Your Entrust Account Number
  • Your broker or representatives name and contact information
  • Name of the company you'd like to set up a trading account with
  • How would you like Entrust fees paid
  • How you would like us to deliver funds (check or wire)
  • Section C3 (Total Purchase Price) - Indicate how much you'd like to invest in this trading account
  • If you are unsure of the amount to be invested in the trading account, leave C3 blank at this time. However, you will need to re-submit when the exact amount has been determined.

2. Original Trading Account Application  (for the company you'd like to set up an account with)

If you have already submitted the Trading Account Application to a party other than Entrust, you will need to have that original application forwarded to Entrust for review. Prior to fund, Entrust will take measures to ensure that the trading account is appropriately titled to the IRA with the correct Trust Tax ID.

3. Commodity Account Agreement  (Forex/Futures/Commodities Accounts only)

Entrust will notify you when your new trading account is ready to be trading.

After the Initial Setup

Once the account is set up and funded, you will work directly with the new company to place your trading requests. You can do this either via your trading account online access or by calling your trading account representative or broker.

Remember, if you would like to add or remove money to/from your trading account, you must contact Entrust directly. If you mistakenly add or remove money from your trading account without contacting Entrust, you may lose your tax-deferred or tax-free status.
